Former Plant Manager | Leader | Advocate for Youth Development

Jerald “JD” Davis brings over 27 years of experience in the automotive industry, with the final 10 years spent as a Plant Manager. During this time, JD’s leadership and team-building expertise contributed to his teams winning 6 Supplier of the Year awards, a testament to his ability to drive excellence and foster a culture of success. JD’s management philosophy, built on the 3 F’s—Fair, Firm, and Fun—helped him lead teams that consistently delivered outstanding results while maintaining a positive and collaborative work environment.

A graduate of Akron Central-Hower High School, JD was a member of the 1986 Akron Central Hower AAA State Championship basketball team, an experience that taught him the importance of teamwork, discipline, and perseverance—values he now instills in the young people he mentors. He furthered his education at Ohio University, earning a Bachelor of Business Administration.

JD is deeply passionate about community service and youth development. He believes that by nurturing and empowering young boys, the future of Akron can be brighter and more impactful. His personal interests in exercise, yoga, and meditation reflect his commitment to personal growth, balance, and well-being—principles he works to share with those he mentors. Through his work with The Feeders, JD is dedicated to igniting young boys’ passions, helping them find their purpose, and preparing them to become the next generation of leaders. He believes that mentorship, guidance, and support can help these young individuals develop the confidence, resilience, and skills they need to face life’s challenges and contribute to the growth and success of their community.
